Friend owes me money — Record an IOU

When you lend money to a friend, record it so Rasmerk tracks the outstanding balance.

Steps

1. Go to Friends in the bottom navigation.
2. Tap the friend's name (or add a new friend).
3. Tap + Add IOU / Loan.
4. Choose direction: They owe me.
5. Enter the amount, date, and optional note.
6. Select the account the money came from.
7. Tap Save.

What happens

• Rasmerk records a loan linked to that friend.
• The amount is deducted from your selected account.
• The Friends overview shows a running balance of what they owe you.

Editing a loan

You can edit the title, note, and due date at any time. Once any repayment is recorded, the amount and direction cannot be changed.
